Act i: The PRESENT

Act I: The Present

         Creating a piece

of art is a process of discovery.

 It rarely follows

  a

  linear

  path,

or at least we are not interested in

        a

        linear

        path.

We are interested in the w

                        a(o)     n

                      der

                       ing as the art.

  This

piece has begun, you are now a

       part of it.

               Welcome.

dancing in

      SOLITUDE,

Solitude Bubble

   and in

         CONNECTION

  with each other.

         What does it mean

to be a body alone in a                    place? (are we ever

                      a   lone?)

How do the layers of life in this         field influence the way we move?

What does it feel like to listen

              with our bodies   to the

   histories   and       futures

contained in the life around us,

           and in ourselves?

Inside of this piece is an invitation for you to join us in this research, to create a ripple of bodies dancing and listening.

This research will culminate in a 360° video dance installation filmed in Inwood Hill Park this fall, to be viewed in the park and presented on this site.
